Our Beliefs and Practices
* Discovering Life Ministries is a conservative, evangelical ministry, targeting churches that seek to present "the whole counsel of God." We hold the historic fundamentals of the faith. Our interpretations are in the school of historic, baptistic faith and practices.
* We do not endeavor to change your beliefs while ministering in your church. Our emphasis is primarily on developing your ministry strategies, space needs and funding capacity.
* While we endeavor to be Spirit-filled Christians through walking in obedience to the Word of God, we are not characterized as charismatics. We understand that the power through Whom Christ is building His Church is the Holy Spirit.
* Therefore, Discovering Life Ministries seeks to practice accountability to God for both Biblical methods as well as Biblical message. We are not marketing strategists of the common church-growth movement. We believe we must emphasize Bible content in ministry to be used by the Holy Spirit to conform lives to God's expectations.
* We primarily emphasize adults in church ministries in order to build strong children's and youth ministries. We encourage exposition of Bible content in preaching and teaching.
* We offer expertise in facility planning in the context of nonliturgical churches. Our experts are experienced in interpreting zoning and building requirements in conjunction with the functional needs of ministry. We evaluate funding capacity, recommending building projects within the church's funding ability.
* Stewardship development is based on Biblical models for stewards who must first give themselves to the Lord. We contrast the commitment of ownership and accountability to God with the world's high pressure marketing strategies or gimmicks.
